“Clocker, just leave me be.”
“I’m trying to watch out for you. I still love you Tempi.”
“Well I don’t love you.” She snapped. “I never did So fuck off.” With that she slammed the front door in his face.
He didn’t give up. He pounded on the door, shouting.
“He’ll kill you! You don’t know who he is! His brother Tempi! It was his brother! You can’t trust him!” He cried,
She walked away from him, sitting in the rocking chair in the nursery. She gently rubbed her stomach, glad she could no longer hear him.
He didn’t know anything.
“Who was that, baby?”
“Just someone I used to know.” She hummed pleasantly to herself, smiling at her husband.
“Was he shouting about me?”
“I suppose so.” She shrugged, unconcerned.
“Darling, we need to talk.”
“My brother is coming to stay. Just for a while. He wants to visit our parents, but mom’s got guests staying already.”
“Oh, right, the family reunion.” She shrugged, getting up to kiss him. “That’s fine with me.”
“Are you sure?” He wrapped his arms around her.
“Of course, baby, your family is always welcome here.”
